Last Hope Fjord Conservation Project
Our 14.500 hectare conservation project is probably one of the biggest in the province. We have been steadily studying the land, learning about it and planning on how to better preserve this particular fjord ecosystem. The best about it? It is one of the few conservation projects made by local people.

This tour starts with a 40 minute boat ride through the Last Hope Fjord to Estancia La Peninsula. Upon arrival you will choose between either a horseback ride or trekking option which lasts approximately two hours. Afterwards you will enjoy a traditional patagonian lamb barbeque (vegetarian option available) followed by a demonstration on how our herding dogs work and a sheep shearing. These activities are accompanied by a thorough explanation of the history and work life of a Patagonian rancher.

BARROSA ADVENTURES
EPIC HIKING AND/OR RIDING
Our multi day guests enjoy a stay in our newly renovated countryside cabin, named “La Barrosa,” located 8km away from the main estancia houses. The cabin has 2 bedrooms (one queen size bed and one bunk bed) each with its own bathroom. This experience is sold as a 2 day 1 night full board package that comes with your own private guide. There is also the option to extend your stay if you so wish. All trekking and horseback activities are included in the package.

4 DAY HIKING ADVENTURE WITH TENT CAMPING
From Barrosa we start our adventure following the rugged Last Hope Fjord coast to waht we call the Huemul Valley for our first campsite where there is shelter for eating and heating.
Day 2 we will hike all the way to chummy lake for our second campsite. On day 3 we will explore the area and head back to Huemul valley and on day 4 we are back at Barrosa.
If we are lucky with weather we can get picked up at the end of Chummy Lake but it is not certain.
